Introduction

Your company logo is displayed at the bottom of each of the main screens in Actionstep and is also used for assembling documents and invoices. The upload field is located in your general system preferences along with other settings that you are able to customize to suit your practice. You can see the below video for an explanation of these preferences and how to upload your logo.

Logo Files

For best results your logo should be in PNG, JPEG, or GIF formats. Other formats might work, but the behaviour can be unpredictable. PNG is the most flexible format.
Logo files should be trimmed to suit the dimensions of their intended use. This improves the performance and clarity of the resultant images. You can view the logo file dimensions by getting the file properties in Windows Explorer or in the Finder on a Mac. To trim the dimensions for an image file you will need an image editor application like Preview or FireWorks.
Beware of programs like MS Word which let you drag an image to a smaller size without adjusting the file dimensions – all this does is display the image in a smaller area in that application but the underlying file size is not changed.

Document Logos

Document Logos can be included in document templates using merge fields. This means that if you change your logo then the changes will automatically be included in any documents generated from that point forward.
In multi-divisional configurations it is possible to specify a different logo for each division. The document logos are therefore uploaded via the Division editor.
