Employee Files

You can create an Action for each employee and prospective recruits.  At a minimum you can use this to keep track of start dates, file notes, reviews, and employee documents, and set tasks for follow-up items.  However with a bit of configuration you can create a workflow that will take you from recruitment through induction, employment and exit management.

Permissions

You will typically have at least two participant types defined: (1) Employee and (2) Supervisor.  Setup the system role permissions so that the files can only be accessed by users who have the Supervisor roles in these actions.

Payroll

Payroll is best handled by using a third party payroll provider.  The payroll provider will keep all of the payroll detail and will calculate the appropriate taxes etc.  At the end of each payroll provider you can simply journal the totals into Actionstep.
