13 December - Actionstep 11049

  • Addressed an issue for Firefox users when completing an advanced search. Users will now be able to apply the same search criteria to different searches by clicking on the next search type (documents, matters, contacts, etc). (Ref: #11028)
  • Updated how recurring appointments setup for weekdays behave when entered on a calendar that is synchronized with a Microsoft Exchange calendar. This resolved an issue caused by Exchange calendars handing recurring daily meetings in a different manner. (Ref: #11023)
  • Updated the permissions applied to the Matter Lockup report so that a user cannot use the report to see details of a matter they do not have permission to access. (Ref: #11010)
  • Resolved an isolated issue effecting some users where a contacts phone number would not display the country code. (Ref: #11000)

  • Resolved ongoing issues with how conditional dropdowns are displayed when added to a webform. (Ref: #10670)

9 November - Actionstep 10593

Fixes going out to all users:

  • Added a new column option to matter list views to display the country for the physical and mailing addresses of a matters participant. For example, the country of the client on a matter can now be added as a column. (Ref: #10636)
  • Updated configuration of voluntary holds for trust receipts that use the payment method "Client Direct Deposit via Bank". This was previously linked to Bank Check so if you used the voluntary option to place a hold on Bank Checks for X days it would also be applied to a trust receipt using the Client Direct Deposit via Bank method. Now Actionstep will apply the hold that is set for Electronic Funds Transfer to receipts that are entered as Client Direct Deposit via Bank. (Ref: #10627)
  • Added the Action Ledger Panel to be configured through matter panel permissions. One of the panels that can be set to be viewed on a matters overview or home page is called "Action Ledger". Administrators are now able to set this as an option for their user to see when setting the matter panel permissions (see Action Overview Panels for details on how to do this). (Ref: #10591)
  • Resolved an issue where Multi-record custom data fields within a data collection that is shared with related matter types would duplicate the entries in the related matter. (Ref: #10566)
  • Resolved an issue where the extension on a file (eg, .docx or .pdf) when recorded in capitals stops that file from being showing when opening or saving files through the MS Office plugin. (Ref: #10553)
  • Resolved an isolated issue for some users where they could not upload a second attachment to an email in Actionstep. (Ref: #10551)
  • Resolved an issue where the signature on emails send through automatic emails generated from a step change showing the wrong persons details. This fix updated Actionstep to recognize that if a users signature is set with merge fields to display the details of the current user, then emails on step changes should use the details of the nominated participant, not the person moving step. (Ref: #6775)
  • Upgrade to our database structure. 

1 November - Actionstep 10495

Fixes going out to all users:

  • Resolved an issue where reminders set on appointments in Outlook transfer over to Actionstep even though Actionstep has reminders for that calendar set to "None" (Ref: #10511)
  • Updated matter list views to now show the values of any custom data field that is an HTML block type. This update allows any calculated merge fields that are run on your matter to show as a column in a list view. (Ref: #10503)
  • Resolved an issue where documents templates set to be generated by a step change were save to the wrong folder. (Ref: #10426)
  • Updated Actionstep web forms to allow for conditional drop downs to work through the web form. Conditional drop downs are fields where the values available to be selected from one drop down are dependant on the value chosen in a parent or related drop down.  (Ref: #10339)
  • Updated Actionstep so that it gives a clear explanation error message when attempting to unlink a bank account that has a current cheque series associated with it. (Ref: #10271)
  • Increased the number of related matters that can be shown on a screen when you are receipting trust funds against more than one matter. Previously only 30 related matters could be shown on screen; You can now see 50 related matters. (Ref: #10119)

  • Updated auto emails to pull information from the senders details rather than the signature setting of the sender. This solves the issue where some automatic emails created through a step change were showing the signature of the person moving to the step rather than the contact under the nominated participant type.
