Document Assembly

Document assembly features provide a toolset for users to template their documents for increased efficiency and accuracy.​

In Actionstep, this is achieved by inserting merge fields into Microsoft Word documents (.docx) and generating the template in the appropriate context.​

In Actionstep, there are templates for​

  • Matters

    • Participants

    • Custom data

  • Bills

  • Sale/Purchase invoices, quotes, orders, and templates

  • Receipts

  • Cheques/checks

  • Trust receipts

  • Deposit slips

  • Trust deposit slips

  • Trust payments

  • Trust statements

 

How Document Assembly Works in Actionstep

Users record information in their Actionstep system that is pulled into document templates when they are generated. The generated documents are output in Word document and/or PDF format. ​

For this to work, templates must be created for use with the specific assembly item (like invoice templates, matter document templates, trust receipts, etc.)​
